HiRISE has taken several images of the Phoenix Mars Lander during its descent on Mar, but JPL has now released an image that shows the tiny spacecraft descendingto its landing spot on the surface of Mars. Phoenix didn't land on the crater, but on a spot 20 km closer. (read more)
